CIJAMPANG
Mini Hydro Power Plant
1.10 MW
Cijampang MHPP (Mini Hydro Power Plant) is one of the power generation assets managed by PT Bumiloka Bunijaya Energy. This plant harnesses the renewable energy potential of the Cihanjawar and Citajur River flows. Administratively, the facility is located in Situhiang Village, Pagelaran Sub-district, Cianjur Regency, West Java Province. The site is accessible by land from Jakarta, with a distance of approximately 178 km, or a travel time of roughly 5 hours.
Technically, the plant has a total capacity of 1.10 MW, generated by two units with a capacity of 550 kW each. The system is supported by penstock infrastructure spanning 322 meters in length with a diameter of 0.9 meters to channel the water. Utilizing a head of 85.5 meters and a water flow rate of 2.01 m³/s, Cijampang MHPP operates horizontal Francis turbines coupled with horizontal synchronous generators.
The project has been in commercial operation date (COD) since February 1, 2012. The partnership is bound by a 15-year contract. The presence of Cijampang MHPP serves as concrete evidence of the private sector's contribution to supporting national energy independence through sustainable natural resource utilization.
