The Gumpang Hydro Power Plant (HPP) project is a renewable energy initiative developed by PT Taruna Omega Perkasa. Utilizing the potential of the Gumpang River, the plant is strategically located in Putri Betung and Gumpang Lempuh villages, Putri Betung District, Gayo Lues Regency, Aceh Province.

Location and Accessibility
Logistically, the project site is accessible by land from Kualanamu Airport, Deli Serdang. The distance required is approximately 376 km, with an estimated travel time of approximately 10 hours and 15 minutes.

Technical Specifications
The Gumpang HPP is designed to generate a total capacity of 19.0 MW through the use of two generator units. The following are the main technical details of the power plant:

• Unit Capacity: 2 x 9.5 MW

• Head: 104 meters

• Flow Rate: 21.8 m³/s

• Turbine Technology: Horizontal Francis

• Generator: Horizontal Synchronous

• Penstock Infrastructure: 440 meters long with a diameter of 3.3 meters.

Current Project Status
To date, the Gumpang HPP project has been officially registered on the List of Selected Providers and is awaiting the tender opening by PT PLN. Meanwhile, regarding land legality, the permitting process is still ongoing in accordance with applicable regulations.
