Kaligua 1 Mini-Hydro Power Plant

The Kaligua 1 Mini Hydro Power Plant (Kaligua 1 MHPP) is a strategic project managed by PT Kaligua Sumber Energi. PT Kaligua Sumber Energi designed this power plant to harness the renewable energy potential of the Kaligua River, located in Tumiyang Village, Pakuncen District, Banyumas Regency, Central Java.

Geographically, the project is approximately 520.5 km from Jakarta, with an estimated land travel time of approximately 9 hours and 20 minutes.

Technical and Operational Specifications
This project has a total capacity of 1.0 MW, generated by two 500 kW generator units. The following are the main technical details of the power plant:

  • Turbine System: A horizontal Francis turbine powered by a horizontal synchronous generator.

  • Water Parameters: The power plant operates with a water head of 78 meters and a water flow of 2.42 m³/s.

  • Penstock Infrastructure: A 230-meter-long penstock with a diameter of 0.92 meters.

Current Project Status
Currently, the Kaligua 1 Mini Hydro Power Plant project has shown very positive progress:

  1. Land Legality: Land acquisition and all related permits have been successfully obtained.

  2. Commercial Readiness: The project has been registered on the Selected Providers List and is currently awaiting the tender opening by PT PLN (Persero).

With the support of stable water resources and the readiness of legal documents, the Kaligua 1 Mini Hydro Power Plant is ready to contribute to strengthening green energy security in Central Java.
